Society Day is a national occasion held yearly in Japan on November 3 with the end goal of advancing society, human expressions, and scholastic attempt. Celebrations regularly incorporate craftsmanship presentations, parades, and grant functions for recognized craftsmen and researchers.
November third was initially celebrated as an occasion in 1868 when it was the birthday of the 明治天皇. After his demise in 1912 it stopped to be an occasion until 1927 when it was rebranded, 明治説 out of appreciation for the late Meiji Emperor.
After the proclamation of the post-War constitution in 1947, it was rebranded as Culture Day, or 文化の日, a day for the advancement of expressions and scholastic attempt.
